Japanese legend Shin Biyajima grew up riding in Myoko, north of Nagano, Japan. In January 2024, Eric Jackson joined him there for the biggest storm of the season, as seen in Issue 22.1.

From resort snowboarding during a three-foot snowfall to backcountry airs to bluebird splitboarding atop an active volcano, it was a full spectrum introduction to the lesser-known zone across the mountains from Hakuba.
