Mt. Baker’s chair 5 accesses some of North America’s most densely featured inbounds terrain. In early April, just two weeks before chairs shut down for the warmer months, Nate Kewin and I found ourselves enjoying said terrain. The snow was of classic Cascade consistency – giving the rider Velcro like brakes to evade traverse lines after a one-person-putter expression session. Here I was thinking of someday learning to get barreled by a moving wave.
