Whistler’s WSSF OLYMPUS 72 Hour Film Contest Winner: “Katch Up”

“Katch Up” is an entertaining tale of a heart-sore, Chaplin-esque snowboarder down on his luck, until he discovers a seemingly innocuous ketchup bottle in the fridge…

The OLYMPUS 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown was held again this year at Whistler as part of the World Ski and Snowboard Festival, and this year’s best of show entry went to “Katch Up,” produced by Conrad Schapansky and Kevin Hardiman. All the film entries are required to be shot in 72 hours, less than 100 kilometers from Whistler; the filmmakers cannot allow their films to go beyond five minutes and all have to incorporate the same prop. “Katch Up” is an entertaining tale of a heart-sore, Chaplin-esque snowboarder down on his luck, until he discovers a seemingly innocuous ketchup bottle in the fridge…
