For the past many years I have ventured north from Bellingham, WA to Whistler Blackcomb, BC to ride bikes with my son on Father's Day weekend. Few things are more satisfying than following your children on a Whistler jump trail. The first couple of years it was a coincidence that we went north on Father's day. This year, we made it a planned trip. The lift lines were short and we had a blast looking at the massive Crankworkx jumps under the Fitz chair.
You've got to love it when the lift line is practically nonexistent.
We also enjoyed some futbol. Soccer fans visiting Whistler during the World Cup can enjoy the games on a big screen right at the main chairlift plaza. I personally watched some of the action between bike laps and many others appeared to be on the same program.
