Tacking and Turning - Snowboarding In Canada's Jervis Inlet

The Snowboarder's Journal

In May 2018, Harry Kearney, Timmy Taussig, John Taussig, Jerry Mark & Jann Eberharter set sail for a unique backcountry snowboarding adventure. Starting from the coastal city of Bellingham, WA, the crew loaded up a sail boat with splitboard gear and sailed north into Canada to go explore a wild zone in British Columbia that is only accessible by boat. After two days of sailing, they parked the boat in the Jervis Inlet and hiked up through the BC jungle to explore and ride lines in a steep alpine cirque overlooking the ocean.
