That’s why he started the SHRED (Snowboarders Helping Reimagine EDucation) Foundation, a 501c3 organization with the mission of providing life and career opportunities for underserved youth through snowboarding and skateboarding culture. Donations to SHRED will help keep these potential snowboarders spending time in the mountains rather than on the streets–well, at least until they’re on the hunt for handrails.
