Is that board rockered or cambered? You may often hear this kind of talk in your local shop or up around the mountain, but 10 years ago the dicussion was only just beginning. Our friends Pete Saari and Mike Olson of Mervin Mfg had been toying with the idea of implementing a banana shape into their boards since the late ’80s, and in 1996 it came to fruition through the Skate Banana. Their ultimate goal? To make snowboarding even more fun than it already was.
