The founder and CEO of Burton Snowboards recently constructed a signature for the first time. Called ‘The Stone Hut,’ the decks were manufactured in Vermont at Craig’s (named after snowboarding legend Craig Kelly), specifically tailored by Jake Burton, who wanted a board that could be at home both in park and pow. Produced in two different lengths, the board’s artwork comes from the album Valleys of Neptune by Jimi Hendrix, whom Jake idolizes. One hundred of the personally signed boards were built, and each includes additional items. In an interview released on the Burton Snowboards website, Jake says, “I think Craig would be stoked that it was made in the facility named after him, and I am too….I think it’s working out really well. Everybody through the ranks who has tested the board, from JG to my kids, has loved it.”
