Alaska Snowboard Guides Expands Operations for 2018

Alaska Snowboard Guides (ASG), a boarder-first heli operation out of Thompson Pass, AK, has added three new programs to their current operation for the 2018 season.

New for 2018 is a helicopter-snowboarding base in the Neocola Mountains, a stunning part of the Alaska Range, featuring steep, unridden peaks deep in the Alaskan wilderness. The only access to this remote base camp and lodge is by a fixed-wing plane from Anchorage. Private packages are still available and seats are limited.

Also new for 2018 is the Backcountry Touring Camp. This is a must-experience adventure for the seasoned splitboarder, where groups of up to 8 people will be flown deep into the Chugach Range for a guided, week-long expedition. Leg-powered descents surround the pristine base camp, and the amount accessed is dependent only by the groups’ skinning prowess.

And finally, new for 2018, is the Alaska Snowboard Guides guided snowmobile weeks. Powered by Ski-doo, participants will ride deep into the Chugach Range on brand-new longtrack Ski-doo 850s. Week packages include riding instruction from our crew of experts, as well as all-day tours deep into the Range, through the endless glaciers and cirques. These weeks are available for backcountry snowboarders who would like to hike and ride peaks along the way, as well as for snow-machiners who just want to ride the most beautiful mountains in the world in the deep, light snow of Alaska.
