Living Out of a Camper Van

Ryan Cortés Pérez
Ryan Cortés Pérez grew up surfing and skateboarding along the northwest coast of Puerto Rico before trading warm water for deep winters in Juneau, AK. Today, he and his wife, Kaila, run Gemini Waltz Media, creating documentary, editorial and commercial photography and films throughout Alaska and beyond. When he’s not on assignment, Ryan is happiest chasing powder, waves and remote mountain lines with a camera in hand. He also founded the Yakutat Surf Club, a free youth surf program introducing kids to surfing in both Alaska and Puerto Rico. Ryan and Kaila split their year between Alaskan summers and winters back on the island of Puerto Rico, where they’re building a home overlooking the Atlantic.

Antonia Galmez
Antonia “Anto” Galmez is a snowboarder based in the Chilean Andes, residing between the city of Santiago and the beach-town of Puertecillo. When winter winds down in the Southern Hemisphere, Anto chases snow north to the United States and beyond. Anto’s work blends backcountry riding with content creation, and she has produced numerous audiovisual projects over the years. She also runs Four Elements Chile, which leads custom adventure and exploration trips across the beautiful country. When the snow melts, Anto trades her snowboard for a surfboard. Die Go
Die Go grew up in Toyota, Japan, home to Toyota Motor Corporation. His snowboarding life began in nearby Nagano and Gifu prefectures. In the late ’90s, he moved to Tokyo with the goal of becoming a snowboard magazine editor. Today, he lives with his wife and son in Kanagawa Prefecture. He founded and publishes two magazines, DIGGIN’ MAGAZINE and DIGG snowboard magazine, handling everything from editorial direction to advertising sales. Beyond those publications, he also works extensively on promotional projects for Japanese snowboard brands, including books produced by GENTEMSTICK. Despite his busy production schedule, Die Go spends his winters living out of a camper van between snow-covered mountains throughout Japan, tapped into the small sparks of Japanese snowboard culture developing far from the spotlight.

Mia Lambson Brady
Based in Salt Lake City, Mia Lambson Brady is a director, cinematographer, editor and lifelong snowboarder who has put her stamp on snowboarding through her work with numerous media outlets and brands over the past 15 years. Through her production company, Tomboy Media, she has centered her work on elevating new and underserved voices in the snowboarding and outdoor sports communities. She recently directed and produced “WAYWARD,” a feature documentary about the women who changed snowboarding. When Mia’s not behind a camera or at a computer, she can be found in the outdoors biking, golfing, skating or snowboarding with her friends. Mikey Nixon
While growing up in Calgary, AB, Mikey Nixon spent weekends on his brother Robin’s couch in the Lake Louise staff accommodations. There, he was exposed to things that no 12-year-old should see: hot knives and reckless snowboarding—courtesy of the riders from “Team Core.” After high school, he bounced between British Columbia’s East Kootenays and the University of Victoria, securing a degree in English literature without attending a single winter semester. Mikey then spent over a decade dividing his time between the Coast Mountains and Vancouver Island. Currently, he lives full-time in Tofino with his dog, Zero, where he surfs (poorly), and crushes upward of 10 soda waters per day.
