The Space Station–along with its neighbor The Mellowstone club–are the creations of Bode Merrill and Chris Beresford, respectively. They’re a cosmic playground of jibs, jumps and cabin life in cowboy country, WY. A place to escape the city, breathe some fresh air and get wild on the numerous hand-crafted obstacles littering the one-acre property—the centerpiece being a 60-foot down rail that Bode welded and installed last fall.

Over New Year’s 2025, they were home to a gathering for Bode’s upcoming film project, When Doves Cry. The infinitely wise Shane Charlebois and Lucas Gibbons were behind the video cameras, and I was lucky enough to be invited to capture the single frames. Desiree Melancon, Madison Blackley, Jack Coyne and Ellie Weiler were there along with Bode, Chris, Alex Andrews and Scott Stevens.
